Ogie Diaz shares reason why Judy Ann Santos turned down 'Doctor Foster' offer

It seems like Judy Ann Santos was supposed to star in the upcoming remake of BBC’s global hit “Doctor Foster.”

But the latter turned it down, as reported by comedian-journalist Ogie Diaz.

On his recent vlog, the topic came up with him and co-host Mama Loi tackling the interview of Maja Salvador wher she revealed refusing to work with former babe Gerald Anderson.

In there, Mama Loi asked Ogie if Maja's reason -- rejecting the offer in consideration of her current boyfriend's feeling -- is "valid."

Ogie believes is understandable.

"Parang si Judy Ann Santos hindi tinanggap yung 'World of the Married' kasi nga may maseselang eksena duon. At bilang respeto kay Ryan Agoncillo, sa kanyang asawa. Ganu'n lang yun."

Recall that last month BBC Studios and ABS-CBN Corporation announced a new scripted format agreement that will see “Doctor Foster” remade for Filipino audiences.

Aside from Judy, Julia Barretto and Sharon Cuneta's names trended in relation to the said news.

But ABS-CBN has recently ended the speculations and introduced the main cast -- Jodi Sta. Maria, Zanjoe Marudo, Sue Ramirez, and Zaijian Jaranilla.

The local title will be “The Broken Marriage Vow.”
