The country’s coronavirus disease (COVID-19) vaccination program got a huge boost with the arrival of 1.5 million doses of the China-made Sinovac vaccines. With the inventory shooting up to 5.5 million, expect the country’s vaccination rollout to proceed at a more rapid pace.

The Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) has eased restrictions on the country’s favorite sport basketball and horse racing, even as it also imposed stricter quarantine on arriving travelers in a bid to keep out the COVID-19 variant from India.
