The Civil Service Commission (CSC) has announced that it will start holding learning and networking events on digital leadership in June for public sector executives, managers, directors, division chiefs, and those in equivalent positions in the government service.
The CSC, through its Civil Service Institute (CSI), will begin its 1st Semester CSI Leadership Series on June 25, 2021, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., via Zoom webinar.
The theme of the leadership series’ first digital run is “Digital Leadership: Nurturing a Tech-Savvy Culture”.
It "will focus on how leaders can maximize all the digital assets and resources available to them, to capacitate their people to optimize productivity and efficiency, and to establish and nurture a tech-savvy culture towards strengthening organizational performance,” the CSI said.
The CSC said the one-day learning session has two parts.
"The first will cover the guiding principles, general concepts, and global practices of transforming into a Digital Leader to be shared by a leadership guru,” it said.
"The second part will showcase the best practices of some of the country’s public sector leaders who have exemplified Digital Leadership competencies and experiences in their respective organizations,” it added.
The Commission said only 500 participants will be accommodated and that registration is on a first-come, first-served basis.
Interested participants may join for a fee of P1,600, it said.
To register, access the June L&D Calendar in the CSI website at csi.csc.gov.ph, click on the title of the event, and accomplish and submit the online registration form, it said.
Those participants who have successfully completed the whole online course including the required course requirements will be given a certificate of completion with eight leadership and managerial training hours.

The CSC said five other courses/learning events for civil servants are being offered by CSI in June.
These are the following:
Performance Management (PM) for PRIME-HRM Level 2 to be held from June 8- 29
Recruitment, Selection, and Placement (RSP) for PRIME-HRM Level from June 7-28
Kuwentong Lingkod Bayani on June 4
Public Service Values in Times of Adversities Batch 11 from June 11-29
Public Service Values Program for Non-Supervisory Positions from June 11-29
