Sta. Rosa, the spokesperson of Jovenes Anakbayan, was nabbed by cops inside her house past 3 a.m., according to Anakbayan Naga City.

The group accused the police of planting guns and grenades inside Sta. Rosa's home before detaining her at the Criminal Investigation and Detention Group (CIDG) headquarters in the city.

In a statement released Monday, May 2, One Big Fight for Human Rights and Democracy condemned the arrest of Sta. Rosa as well as other progressive leaders who were also arrested on Sunday.

"The Atenean community calls for the Ateneo Manila University administration to vehemently condemn this blatant attack on Atenean students nationwide. We call for the administration to support the call for Sasah's release and to provide the assistance she needs at this difficult time," its statement read.

"Now more than ever, the Ateneo community must unite to demand the immediate release of our fellow Atenean, Sasah Sta. Rosa, other progressive leaders wrongfully detained, and ultimately hold the Duterte regime accountable for its criminal negligence and intensifying fascist attacks against the Filipino youth and people."

Sta. Rosa is the former department head of People's Rights and Welfare of the Supreme Student Government of the Ateneo de Naga University.
