Benedict "Bennyqt" Gonzales unleashed a solid performance with Wanwan as Aura PH downed Bren Esports, 2-1, and swept the clash of champions in the MPL Philippines Season 7 on Saturday, May 1.

Bennyqt's Wanwan went ham in the all-important Game 3, coming through with two kills and 11 assists against zero deaths to power Aura's 17-10 rout of Bren in just 12 minutes.

It was actually a comeback victory for the Seasons 4 and 5 titlist Aura (formerly known as Sunsparks) as Karl "KarlTzy" Nepomuceno's Alpha led the early aggression of Season 6 champion and M2 world champion Bren to secure all the Turtle kills and the first Lord.

However, Bren left Bennyqt untouched which resulted in him getting his core items Demon Hunter Sword, Corrosion Scythe and Windtalker to easily shoot down enemy heroes with the Crossbow of Tang ultimate.

With Bennyqt at the helm, Aura won a 4-for-1 exchange in the 10th minute for an easy Lord takedown before sealing the deal with a five-man team wipe.

Aura bounced back from a 0-2 defeat to Work Auster Force last week and joined them at No. 1 in Group A with 16 points on a 6-2 record.

The boys of coach Michael Angelo "Arcadia" Bocado and strategic mentor Steven "DaleDalus" Vitug also swept their two Regular Season matches against Francis "Duckey" Glindro's crew with a similar 2-1 win back in Week 2.

Despite the loss, Bren forged a deadlock with Onic PH at No. 3 with 15 points on an even 5-5 slate in the same group.

Bren was able to tie the series with a swift 9-3 victory in Game 2 behind the Tzy Brothers connection of KarlTzy on Granger and David "FlapTzy" Canon on Barats.

Mark "LORD HADESS" Lazaro, meanwhile, was Aura's hero in its 23-12 triumph Game 1 with his stellar play on Lancelot finishing with a 9-2-6 kill-death-assist record.
