Find out what sections of EDSA will be closed this weekend

Three portions of the 28.3-kilometer Epifanio delos Santos Avenue (EDSA) will be closed to traffic over the weekend to give way to road reblocking and repairs, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) said.

DPWH Secretary Mark A. Villar said the road works will begin at 11 p.m. on Friday, April 30.

The affected sections of EDSA include the north bound portion fronting Landers, first lane from sidewalk; north bound from Quezon Avenue to fronting Landmark, first lane from bike lane; and its southbound section, opposite of Trinoma Mall, second lane from sidewalk.

Meanwhile, the second lane from the sidewalk of C-5 Road before Magsaysay Avenue, the first lane from the center island of Agham Road fronting Office of the Ombudsman, and the first lane from the sidewalk of West Avenue from Times Street to Quezon Avenue will also be temporarily closed for repair.

Villar said the DPWH-National Capital Region will be using one-day curing concrete mix to repair the affected road lanes so they may be reopened by 5 a.m. Monday, May 3.

Motorists are advised to plan their travel and take possible alternative routes.
