Marky "Markyyyy" Capacio came through with a stellar MPL Philippines debut as he led Onic PH to a gutsy 2-1 victory over Execration midway through Season 7 on Thursday night, April 29.

Playing in place of Christian "Iy4knu" Manaog, rookie gold laner Markyyyyy proved that he belongs in the big league with his Harith taking charge late in the war of attrition that was the deciding Game 3.

Markyyyyy racked up five kills and two assists without a single death to power Onic's hard-fought 11-5 victory in 25 minutes.

The 22-year-old sixth man also emerged victorious over his friend and former teammate in Exe's own rookie gold laner Duane "Kelra" Pillas in their first faceoff in the MPL.

Veteran tank Jason "Jay" Torculas also stepped up on his Akai, setting up crucial pickoffs through the Hurricane Dance ultimate including on Kelra's Chang'e in the 24th minute that resulted in a free Luminous Lord take for Onic.

Onic seized its third straight triumph althought it stayed at No. 4 in Group A with 12 points on a 5-2 series record.

Execration failed to rebound from its demoralizing 2-0 defeat to Smart Omega last week as Billy "Z4pnu" Alfonso's crew slipped to 3-4 but joined Nexplay Esports at No. 3 in Group B with identical 10 points.

Execration actually looked poised to draw first blood in the series with Joshua "Ch4knu" Mangilog's Hylos and Kiel VJ "Kielvj' Hernandez's Granger leading the siege at Onic's base in the 17th minute.

But Jaylord "Hate" Gonzales on his Ling halted his former team's push as he took a maniac kill streak and snowballed from there with the help of Jay's Angela to spark Onic's epic comeback 15-8 win.

Exe struck back in Game 2 as Ch4knu on Atlas came through with beautiful initiations through multiple hero Fatal Links while Kielvj's well-farmed Ling dished out the damage.

No one was willing to surrender in the nip-and-tuck battle in Game 3 until Markyyyyy's Harith grew unbearable for Execration in the late game.
