Malayan Insurance Co. Inc's first virtual awards event


A total of 67 agents and agency business partners were recognized by Malayan Insurance Co. Inc. in its first virtual agents’ awards event.

Malayan Insurance president and chief executive officer Paolo Y. Abaya described the event as “an event like no other” and a testament to partners' adapting to challenging and evolving business and e-commerce set-up.

“The accomplishments we celebrate today are probably the hardest fought and hardest won because of the pandemic,” Abaya said during the virtual awards ceremony.

Of the total agents and agencies recognized, 34 formed the El Circulo Rizal Qualifier Awardees and 33 for the Institutional Award winners.

Malayan Insurance also raffled off gift certificates for the participants during the event.

The Covid19 pandemic brought economies across the globe to its knees, not sparing the Philippines as well. Despite the lockdowns and the restrictions, Malayan Insurance agents managed to provided relevant insurance protection to its clients.

Meanwhile, Malayan Insurance Chairperson Helen Y. Dee expressed her optimism moving forward, as the economies are forecast to recover a post-pandemic world.

Dee challenged the agents and business partners to hit production goals as the engines of growth and e-commerce hit up.

In her closing remarks, Malayan Insurance Vice Chairperson Yvonne S. Yuchengco described 2020 as “a year full of tears and fears, victors and triumphs.”

“In 2021, we will become stronger and better because Malayan and you will work together to become a stronger agency force,” Yuchengco said.
