Korean heartthrobs Lee Jong-suk, Cha Eun-woo team up in movie ‘Decibel’

Korean heartthrobs Lee Jong-suk and Cha Eun-woo, member of K-pop boy band ASTRO, have been cast in a new action film titled “Decibel.”

It was announced that the two will be starring in the film along with Kim Rae-won, Jung Sang-hoon, Park Byung-eun, Jo Dal-hwan and Lee Sang-hee. Filming began last April 20.

This will be Lee Jong-suk’s first movie following his discharge from military service last Jan. 2 while this will be Cha Eun-woo’s film debut. “Decibel” tells the story of the Navy that will try to stop a terrorism attack in the city.

In “Decibel,” Lee Jong-suk will play a Navy captain who is loyal to his crew while Cha Eun-woo will essay the role of a sailor with keen hearing.

Last January, it was reported that Lee Jong-suk was considering to star in “Decibel.” His agency A-Man Project said, "It is true that Lee Jong Suk has received an offer to join 'Decibel.' The actor is positively reviewing the script," according to SBS News.

Lee Jong-suk is known for Korean dramas such as "Prosecutor Princess," "School 2013," "Doctor Stranger," "Pinocchio," "W" and "While You Were Sleeping." His film credits include "R2B: Return to Base," "The Face Reader," "No Breathing" and "V.I.P."

Cha Eun-woo has starred in Korean dramas such as "Gangnam Beauty" and "True Beauty." ASTRO made their comeback this month with the album “All Yours.”

Kim Rae-won will play the role of a Navy lieutenant who will try to prevent the explosion of the bomb planted in the city center.
