Kit Thompson hailed best actor at 54th WorldFest-Houston Int'l Film Festival

Kit Thompson was named best actor at the recent 54th WorldFest-Houston International Film Festival for his performance in "Belle Douleur."

This was announced by festival organizers through Facebook, Tuesday.

“Kit Thompson's charming performance in ‘Belle Douleur’ was easy to fall in love with and earned him the Remi award for BEST ACTOR (Panorama Asia) at WorldFest 54,” the post read.

Kit bested two other nominees, Japan's Hideyuki Kawahara and Yuh Kamiya, for the plum.

He expressed gratitude for the win via Instagram.

Kit thanked film director Joji Alonso, co-star Mylene Dizon, as with the festival.

He wrote, "Everyone has their own turn. I honestly didn’t think I’d win best actor. I was already happy when I found out I was nominated for best actor..."
