"Actually sobrang okay po yung stay ko dun parang nagstaycation lang po ako actually. Sobrang maayos po sya, masaya naman. Kung walang ibang appointment gusto ko pa pong magstay po (Actually, my stay there was very okay, it looks like I was actually spending staycation. It was very good, all was well. If I don’t have other appointment, I still want to stay ,” Kla, not her real name, said in an interview with TeleRadyo.

The facility, which is located in the building complex of AdMU’s junior high school in the Quezon City campus, was opened on April 17 to serve as isolation center for asymptomatic COVID-19 patients.

Kia said she was “shocked” that the facility was fully equipped and that that their needs, including toiletries were attended to.

"Nagdala ako ng plato, kutsara, meron palang provided, provided din shampoo, sabon, saka toothbrush, no need to bring na po (I brought plate, spoon, which they provided, shampoo, soap as well as toothbrush were also provided, no need to bring them),” she said.

She said each patient received his or her oximeter and thermometer to ensure faster monitoring of vital signs such as oxygen saturation and temperature.

In the same radio interview, Dr. Arthur Catli, national medical director of the PRC’s Safety Services, said as of 1 a.m., April 25, 119 COVID-patients are currently staying in PRC’s isolation facilities.

“Kahapon po nakapagdischarge tayo ng apat na pasyente. Tuwang tuwa po tayo ay nakapagalaga at nakapadischage ng ating unang pasyente, recovered po at ito po ay isang ehemplo ng magandang pagsasamahan ng private sector, Red Cross, at ng ating schools at ating LGUs (Yesterday, we have discharged four patients. We are very happy that we were able to take care and treat our first patient who already recovered and this is a good example of good partnership between the private sector, Red Cross, and our schools and our LGUs),” he said.

PRC biomolecular laboratories Chief Dr. Paulyn Ubial said so far, the PRC has opened isolation facilities with a total bed capacity of 400 in Ateneo de Manila University (AdMU), University of the Philippines (UP)-Diliman, De La Salle-College of St. Benilde (DLS-CSB) in Manila.
