The EPD said its men will repack the donations and will soon be distributed to the houses of identified beneficiaries.

Major Eric Cister of the EPD personally accepted the donations from the Malasakit Movement founded by Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) spokesperson Assistant Secretary Celine Pialago.

“EPD would like to express our deepest gratitude to all our benefactors for continuously extending support on all our plans and programs to better serve the people of the community who are in need," Cister said.

On April 19, the EPD opened its own community pantry right in front of its headquarters along Caruncho Avenue in Pasig City.

The EPD pantry has canned goods, instant noodles, face masks, face shields, and Bible.

“The EPD PaMaMariSan Pantry was inspired by the Maginhawa Community Pantry in Quezon City where people can donate and get items based on their needs.”
