Reigning champion Bren Esports barged back into the win column after pulling off a hard-fought 2-0 sweep against Laus Playbook Esports in the MPL Philippines Season 7 on Sunday, April 25.

Bren showed its steely resolve in outlasting LPE in a war of attrition throughout the series as the Season 6 and M2 world titlist bounced back from a 2-0 sweep to Onic PH a day before.

The black and yellow squad of coach Francis "Duckey" Glindro regained the No. 3 spot in Group A with 11 points on an even 4-4 series win-loss record.

Coach Brian "Panda" Lim's LPE suffered its second straight setback as it remained as the cellar-dweller of Group B with five markers on a 2-5 slate.

Bren systematically snagged its narrow 10-9 victory in 21 minutes in Game 1 by securing all the Luminous Lord kills with the zoning prowess of David "FlapTzy" Canon's Uranus.

Duckey's boys actually destroyed all the turrets of Panda's crew in the 14th minute but it was not until the third Luminous Lord that Bren was able to close out the game.

Game 2 turned out to be another nip-and-tuck battle as Arvin "Arvs" Bacayan's Kaja pulled off a successful Lord steal in the 13th minute while Jay "JAKE THE DOG" Lapitan's Claude became massive as the match progressed.

FlapTzy on his Paquito carried Bren in the late game and sealed the 24-15 triumph in 24 minutes with a knockout on JAKE THE DOG during Bren's final base siege with the Lord.
