ABS-CBN has expressed support to Angel Locsin who has helped many Filipinos in times of crisis.
In an official statement on April 25, ABS-CBN said:
"ABS-CBN believes in the goodness of the heart of our Kapamilya Angel Locsin, who in her personal capacity has tirelessly helped our countrymen in times of crisis.
"We admire her commitment to continue serving the Filipino people with selfless dedication and love.
"We stand by her and thank her for being a shining example of generosity, accountability, and compassion."
The statement came after a senior citizen died during a community pantry organized by Locsin on her birth anniversary last April 23.
Celebrities also rallied behind Locsin saying that she still did good in organizing a community pantry for the poor.
Even Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro Locsin Jr. came to the defense of Locsin following the tragedy, praising her for at least trying to feed the hungry and not her own ego.
