ILOILO CITY – As the threat of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) continues, job seekers in Western Visayas region are urged to register online for the upcoming Labor Day job fair.

Cyril Ticao, Western Visayas regional director of Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), said it has a partnership with mynimo.com for the online job portal.

“We understand the need of the workers to find a job amidst this pandemic. Without compromising their safety, we develop this initiative to allow them to apply and find jobs even if they are at home,” Ticao said.

Opportunities await those from Aklan, Antique, Capiz, Guimaras, Iloilo, and Negros Occidental provinces as well as the highly urbanized cities of Iloilo and Bacolod.

“It is also open to job seekers who are currently out of work and are seeking for job search advice,” added Ticao.

Applicants can register through https://www.mynimo.com/dole6applicants.

According to Ticao, job applicants can submit their updated resume and other pertinent information in the site.

The online employment program is one of the programs designed for the 2021 National Online Trabaho, Negosyo, Kabuhayan (TNK) Job and Business Fairs
