QC Task Force Disiplina to apprehend individuals violating curfew hours at Community Pantries

The Quezon City Task Force Disiplina will apprehend people lining up at community pantries during curfew hours starting Saturday, April 24.

According to QC Task Force Disiplina head Rannie Ludovica, they already informed the organizers of the community pantries that curfew violators will be issued Ordinance Violation Receipts (OVRs).

“Nagbigay na kami ng warning sa mga community pantries na pinupuntahan gaya ng Maginhawa na mula ho bukas (Sabado),  iimplement ho namin  yung curfew po talaga dahil ala(m naman po nila na yung mga community pantries po ay nagbubukas po ng 7:00 a.m. (We have already issued a warning to the community pantries like Maginhawa that starting tomorrow, we will actually implement the curfew hours because they know that the community pantries open at 7:00 a.m.),” Ludovica said in an interview with DZBB on Friday.

Ludovica also said they have been receiving complaints from the residents about the noise during the wee hours  because of the individuals lining up as early as 3:00 a.m.

“Nagrereklamo na rin yung mga residente dun ho sa area na dahil hindi na rin ho sila magkaroon ng pamamahinga po sa oras ng pamamahinga po nila (The residents in the area are also complaining because they can no longer have a rest),” he said.

The unified curfew for Metro Manila is from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.

On Thursday, five individuals waiting for the opening of the Maginhawa Community Pantry were issued OVRs with P300 fine for not complying with the curfew ordinance of the city. Mayor Joy Belmonte pledged to shoulder the fines imposed on them.
