Work Auster Force went to Clarense "Kousei" Camilo to pull off a 2-0 sweep over Cignal Ultra and arrest its losing skid in the MPL Philippines Season 7 on Friday night, April 23.

Kousei on his Esmeralda secured a crucial pickoff to hand Work a hard-earned win in the series opener then came up with sneaky plays on his Benedetta to give his teammates a lot of space to farm and take objectives for an easy victory in the second game.

With the sweep, Work ended its two-game slump and solidified its hold of No. 2 in Group A with 13 points on a 4-3 series win-loss slate, behind leading Aura PH with 14 markers.

For its part, Cignal suffered its second straight defeat this day after losing 2-1 to Onic PH earlier.

DJ "ImbaDeejay" Astibe and his crew remained at the cellar of the same group with three points and a winless record in seven series.

Kousei and Work displayed their near flawless execution down the crucial stretch in Game 1 to eke out a gutsy 24-13 victory in 27 minutes.

Kousei's Esmeralda picked off Janus "JANUS" Badando's Chou before Frediemar "3MarTzy" Serafico's Benedetta led a 2-for-1 trade that enabled Daniel "Chuuu" Chu's Lancelot to take a free Luminous Lord and close out the game.

It was a smoother sailing for Work in Game 2 as Kousei's pesky Benedetta provided Chuuu's Yi Sun-Shin and Patrick "rTzy" Grecia's Harith so much space to farm their core items and eventually take down objectives.

A second uncontested Lord take by Chuuu in the 14th minute served as the killing blow in Work's surgical 9-5 win.
