LOOK: PAL flight returns with 500,000 Sinovac jabs


Philippine Airlines (PAL) flight no. PR359 from Beijing, China arrived earlier than expected on Thursday afternoon, April 22.

The plane, carrying 500,000 doses of Sinovac Biotech Ltd.-manufactured vaccines, touched down at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) at 5:16 p.m. it was originally expected to arrive with the cargo at 5:50 p.m. 
The same PAL aircraft left NAIA Terminal 2 at 7 a.m. Thursday.

On hand to welcome the arrival of the latest batch of vaccines were Senator Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go, Health Secretary Francisco T. Duque, Vaccine czar Carlito G. Galvez Jr., and Testing czar Vivencio B. Dizon.

The 500,000 jabs were bought by the Philippine government.
