20 illegal gamblers arrested in Bulacan


Twenty illegal gamblers were arrested in separate anti-crime operations conducted by the Bulacan police on Thursday, April 22.

Col. Lawrence B. Cajipe, Bulacan police director, said the illegal gamblers were arrested in different anti-illegal gambling operations conducted by operatives of Marilao, San Jose Del Monte City police, and the 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC).

The eight persons who were caught in the act of engaging in illegal cockfighting were identified as Nestor Flor; Chavit Capili; Bernard Madrid; Domingo Soriao; Samuel Santiago; Leonardo Escropolo; Melvin Rosialda; and Nestor Linga, all residents of Caloocan City.

Confiscated from them were fighting cocks, gaffs, and bet money amounting to P2,200.

In Barangay Loma De Gato, Marilao, Angel Senita; Rachel Nunez; Marlyn Eder; and Vilma Mallari were arrested for playing the illegal card games (pusoy).

Recovered from them were one set playing card and cash money amounting to P850.

Arrested in San Jose del Monte for playing color games with bet were Sergio Bautista; Jimboy Sabal; Ricardo Toledo; Jonathan Tapiador; Joselito Camactic; Cherry Ann Dela Torre; Jerico De Belen; and Ricky Gumasing.

Seized were color game board, dice, and cash money amounting to P684.

Criminal complaints against all those arrested for illegal gambling are now being readied against them.
