Son stabs pa to death in Pangasinan


STA.BARBARA, Pangasinan -- A 64-year-old man was allegedly stabbed to death by his son in Zone 6, Barangay Banaoang here Monday.

Police identified the victim as Rolando Carreon.

Investigator-on-case Police Master Sgt. Erwin M. Catugas said the suspect Ray Carl Carreon, 36, arrived at around 7:30 p.m. at their house drunk.

Ray Carl for no apparent reason pushed his father who was sitting on a rocking chair outside.

A heated argument ensued but they were pacified by Ray Carl's elder brother.

The suspect went inside their house and
returned with a kitchen knife and stabbed his father several times.

Victim was taken by the municipal rescue team to the Villaflor Hospital in Dagupan City, this province, where he died.

Suspect was arrested and now under the custody of the police.

Catugas said the suspect was irked when he was earlier reminded by his father to not throw away food given to him by his grandson.

“Pinagsabihan ng anak (suspek) na huwag naman sanang ipatapon sa kaniyang apo ang ibinigay na pagkain at hindi maganda na ang grasya ay itinatapon (The suspect was irked when he was asked by his father not to throw away food given to him as it is bad to throw away graces)," Catugas said.
