iOS 14.5 rolls out next week

iOS 14

Apple will release the iOS 14.5 update next week.

Some of the changes include unlocking with FaceID-compatible iPhones using an Apple Watch, how Siri sounds, and online privacy issues. Other features include enabling FaceID even while wearing a mask, which is really handy these days. PS5’s DualSense and Xbox Series X controllers are also supported by the update.

As for privacy, the update will ask for your consent to be tracked by advertisers. Facebook is one of the biggest examples who tracks your online activities for targeted advertising. That’s how Facebook makes money. And when a large number of people don’t consent to be tracked, this might cause the social media giant some problems. Our own TechNews columnist Professor Rom Feria might have opinions about this, so stay tuned!
