Pasay a friendly city to business locators — Mayor Emi


Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano said on Friday, April 16, the city remains a friendly venue to its business locators and vows to help them by providing incentives such as extending the deadline for the payment of business and real property taxes.

Rubiano said aside from helping them by extending the deadline for the payment of taxes, the city government also wants them to keep going in these most challenging times.

She said the city government took the initiative of extending the payments for business and real property taxes without surcharges and interest. 

The no imposition of surcharges and interest was prescribed by the Bayanihan Act.

Rubiano said the city’s revenue reached P6.8-billion in 2020, and for this year, the city government projects its revenue to reach P7.1-billion .

During the first quarter of the year, she said the city government has 99 percent collection efficiency rating.

She said the city government also embarked on the automation of other essential services such as online registration and business permit application and building permit as well as for real property assessment.

Rubiano said the city government is also capable to accept online payment.

She said the city government’s digital initiatives have provided convenience in doing business in Pasay City Hall during the pandemic.
