Mayor Emi confident Pasay will overcome economic storm brought by COVID pandemic

Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano on Friday expressed confidence that Pasay will be able to surpass its tax collection last year despite the effects of the pandemic on the city's financial standing.

Rubiano said that while Pasay's revenue collections are not as robust compared to the previous year, she believes that the city can ride through the economic storm brought by the pandemic.

Last year, Pasay's tax collection was at P6.8 billion.

Rubiano said the local government of Pasay is continuously finding ways on how they can help traders keep their businesses running despite the pandemic.

“The city is fast gaining reputation as business-friendly city and we want them to keep doing business as usual in this most challenging time,” Rubiano said.
