Daniel "Chuuu" Chu shone on his 18th birthday as Work Auster Force pulled off a 2-0 stunner over Onic PH in the MPL Philippines Season 7 on Thursday, April 15.

Hyper-carry Chuuu on his Granger wreaked havoc in Game 1 then came through with a crucial Lord steal with his Lancelot in the grueling Game 2 that lasted for 37 minutes to seal the huge victory.

League newcomer Work surprisingly stole the top spot with six points in Group A which features league giants Onic, Aura PH and Bren Esports.

Onic fell to a joint second with rival Aura as both held five points on a similar 2-1 record.

With Chuu's Granger leading the charge and backed by the first pick Rafaela of captain Dylan "Unravel" Catipon, Work built momentum early on and never looked behind en route to a 15-2 romp in just 11 minutes.

Patrick "rTzy" Grecia's Kadita also executed his magic burst and petrify combo to perfection in crucial team fights.

It was a different story in Game 2 as the two squads battled back and forth, dragging the game to more than half an hour.

Onic seemed to have gotten the win in the bag when it picked off rTzy's Kagura and Frediemar "3MarTzy" Serafico's Paquito before going to the Lord pit.

However, Chuuu made the biggest play of the series as he stole the Lord kill on top of slaying Jaylord "Hate" Gonzales' Bruno in the 31st minute to prolong the match.

Several kill trades took place before rTzy came up with a brilliant Flameshot play to foil the attempt of Gerald "Dlar" Trinchera's Chou to destroy the base with the help of the super minions from the bottom lane.

Work pulled off a big pickoff on Christian "Iy4knu" Manaog's Lunox then went straight for the Lord to finally end the long-drawn game.

Work will go for back-to-back victories against Cignal (0-1) even as Onic will look to bounce back versus Aura on Friday.
