Philippine Airlines (PAL) today (April 13) issued its latest advisory under the less stringent Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ) covering Metro Manila and surrounding provinces (NCR+) till the end of this month.

The flag carrier will continue to operate domestic flights between Manila, Cebu and Davao and other regions of the country, subject to restrictions and requirements of the COVID-19 Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF) and concerned local government units (LGUs) for each route.

PAL also noted that the suspension of inbound passenger travel to Region 6 (Western Visayas) from Manila, Cebu and Davao, has been extended until April19.

Passengers eligible to travel between NCRplus and all other Regions of the country include health/emergency frontline services personnel; government officials and frontline personnel; duly-authorized humanitarian assistance actors; persons traveling for medical/humanitarian reasons; persons going to the airport for travel abroad; persons crossing zones for work or business permitted in the zone of destination, and going back home; returning or repatriated OFWs and other Returning Overseas Filipinos (ROFs) returning to their places of residence and locally – stranded individuals (LSIs).

Travelers whose flights were canceled due to the restrictions can convert their ticket to a Travel Voucher (request until June 30, 2021).

Other options include availing of unlimited rebooking (no rebooking fee) until December 31, 2021 or refunding the ticket without penalties.

Those whose flights were not affected by cancellations or travel ban who wants to make voluntary changes to their flights can do so, following the new No-Worry Flight Fare Brand.

All changes shall be made within the tickets’ validity and applicable change fees shall be assessed on the fare conditions of the route.
