Honest Coast Guard men return more than P10K cash, ID cards


The Philippine Coast Guard lauded on Sunday, April 11, four of its personnel who returned P10,000 cash to a female hotel employee in Manila.

In a statement, the PCG said the four Coast Guard men were conducting security patrol in various quarantine hotels in Manila when they found a wallet containing more than P10,000 cash and important identification cards.

The PCG said the four personnel immediately coordinated with the front desk officer of the quarantine hotel where the wallet was found to look for its owner.

According to the Coast Guard, the owner of the wallet, who works as a Mandarin interpreter in Manila, was working near the area where the wallet was found.

The owner of the wallet expressed her sincere gratitude to the four PCG personnel.
