BTS, NCT, Seventeen, EXO and SHINee copped the first five places for the most talked about K-pop boy bands for the month of April.
The Korea Corporate Research Institute analyzed 51.47 million pieces of big data from March 10 to April 10, an increase of 21.76 percent from 42.27 million in March.
The boy bands were ranked based on the total scores from consumer participation, media, communication and community indices. The brand reputation index can measure positive and negative evaluation of boy bands, and media and consumer interest.
BTS topped the rankings again, garnering a total score of 15.93 million, an increase of 45.93 million from their March score of 10.92 million.
NCT placed second with a score of 3.57 million, falling 3.95 percent from last month’s 3.72 million.
Seventeen grabbed third place with 3.35 million, an increase of 24.95 percent from 2.68 million last month.
Placing fourth is EXO, which received a total score of 2.41 million, rising by 29.61 percent compared to 1.85 million last month.
SHINee placed fifth with a brand reputation score of 2.31 million, a decrease of 27.79 percent from 3.21 million.
