Trending K-pop girl group Brave Girls added another feat by topping for the first time the K-pop girl group brand reputation rankings.
The Korea Corporate Research Institute released the rankings for April 2021 showing Brave Girls, whose 2017 song “Rollin’” became viral this year, at No. 1 among K-pop girl groups.
This is the first time that Brave Girls, which debuted in 2011, grabbed the top spot in the brand reputation rankings.
The institute analyzed 38.95 million pieces of brand big data from March 11 to April 11, an increase by 26.33 percent from March’s 30.83 million.
Through analysis, the girl groups were ranked based on consumer participation, media, communication and community indices. The brand reputation index can measure positive and negative evaluation of girl groups, and media and consumer interest.
Brave Girls, composed of Eunji, Yujeong, Minyoung and Yuna, rose to first place in April from second place last month, the first time that they were included in the brand reputation analysis. For April, Brave Girls’ brand reputation index totaled 5.36 million, an increase by 50.82 percent from March’s 3.55 million.
BLACKPINK, which placed first in March, slid to second place in April with a score of 4.58 million, an increase of 24.78 percent from last month’s 3.67 million.
WJSN placed third with a score of 2.84 million, an increase of 541.31 percent from their score of 443,285 last month.
Oh My Girls took fourth place, garnering a score of 2.07 million, higher by 45.54 percent from 1.42 million in March.
TWICE grabbed fifth place with a score of 2.02 million from 1.81 million in March, or an increase of 11.75 percent.
