Local government units (LGUs) in Rizal Province have again urged residents to register online for the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) vaccination.

The call was made as LGUs continue the vaccination rollout in their respective areas as part of the government’s efforts to protect the public against COVID-19.
As of April 7, there were 2,334 active cases including 248 new cases recorded by the Rizal Provincial Government in the entire province. Rizal also recorded 23,326 confirmed COVID-19 cases including 727 deaths and 20,265 recoveries.
As of April 9, 11 out of the 14 LGUs in Rizal Province have online pre-registration for the COVID-19 vaccination program.

Cainta, Taytay, Angono, Binangonan and Antipolo City are among the LGUs that have so far vaccinated medical frontliners, some senior citizens and other residents who are classified as Priority Eligible Group A3 or adults with comorbidities, based on the Department of Health’s lists of priorities.
