OB x Neon Esports displayed its superior teamfight prowess as it took down Boom Esports of Indonesia to march to the championship series of the Asia Pacific Predator League Dota 2 Grand Final 2020/2021 on Friday, April 9.

Knowing when to go in and out as well as dishing out their skills, Neon emerged victorious in the pivotal clashes en route to grabbing the first spot in the best-of-three grand finals slated on Sunday.

Boom was actually able to stand toe-to-toe with the Singapore Major top 6 finisher until a crucial skirmish in the 32nd minute allowed Neon to snowball to victory.

Andrei “debil_2000” Ong (popularly known as Skem) on his Windranger willed Neon to a 4-for-2 exchange inside Boom’s Dire jungle.

Three minutes later, Prieme Ejay “PlayHard” Maque’s Earth Spirit with Black King Bar iniated a 3-for-nothing trade for the new Filipino powerhouse squad where they picked off Randy “Dreamocel” Sapoetra’s Weaver.

Neon also destroyed two full sets of barracks at the mid and top lane before killing Roshan for insurance. Skem hit his Shackleshot on Weaver and Phoenix to seal the 35-23 victory in 38 minutes.

Skem racked up 13 kills and 11 assists against four deaths while Japoy “Yopaj” Ferrer’s Void Spirit tallied 10 kills and 13 assists with six deaths.

John Anthony “Natsumi-” Vargas’ super-farmed Troll Warlord put up a 7-2-15 kill-death-assist record even as supports PlayHard and Jaunuel “Jaunuel” Arcilla’s Nature’s Prophet chipped in 22 assists each.

It was the third straight win for Skem and the gand in the Predator League after they destroyed Singapore’s Team SOOS and fellow PH team TNC Predator in the previous rounds.

With the loss, Boom is set to battle TNC in a do-or-die lower bracket finals battle for the right to face Neon.
