Good news to residents of Angono, Rizal waiting for the release of the financial assistance that the national government has promised.
The municipal government has announced that it has received the P96.345 million cash aid from the national government and that the amount will benefit more than 46,000 families living in the Art Capital of the Philippines.
Mayor Jeri Mae Calderon, in a Facebook post, said the distribution of the P1,000 cash aid per individual will be given door-to-door.
“Base sa napagkasunduan kasama ang mga kapitan ng barangay, bahay-bahay pong ibibigay ang ayuda sa inyo. Kaya relax lang po at hintayin ninyong mapuntahan kayo ng barangay, (Based on the agreement with the barangay chairperson, the cash assistance will be given door-to-door. So relax and wait for the barangay to reach you),” Calderon said.
Municipal Administrator Alan Maniaol told Manila Bulletin that in order for the more than P96 million cash aid to benefit all the families, with no family being left behind, only two individuals for each family, will be getting the P1,000, based on Executive Order No. 12-2021.
Calderon’s executive order states that every barangay office shall list down the name of two individuals for each family, who will be included in the payroll for the national government’s cash assistance program. The names and addresses of the beneficiaries should also be made public by the barangay, through the respective barangay’s official website, social media account, and in public areas.
The order also states that permanent, contractual, and co-terminus workers in government agencies, including the local government unit; appointed officials of the government agencies; and elected officials from the national down to the barangay offices are not entitled to receive the cash aid, commonly refered to as ‘ayuda’.
Beneficiaries will be asked to present a valid identification card or a certification that will prove their residency in Angono during the pay-out that will be administered simultaneously by the village officials and personnel in their respective localities.
The municipal government has also released the phone numbers which the residents could call should they have concerns or questions regarding the distribution of the national government’s financial aid.
