PCG rescues 8 fishermen from half-submerged motorbanca in Antique

The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) has rescued eight fishermen from a half-submerged motorbanca which was battered by huge waves off the waters of Antique on Wednesday, April 7.

In a statement, the PCG said the fishermen are from San Jose, Occidental Mindoro.

While on the way to Carmen Bank in Seco Island, Tibiao, Antique, their motorbanca was hit by huge waves which caused the seawater to enter the bow portion of the boat.

The rescued fishermen were transported to Barangay Pinagpala, Semirara, Caluya, Antique. They will be transported and turned over to their community.
