The city government received the financial assistance amounting to P1,523,270,000 on Monday (April 5).

MDSW is now on its second day of the distribution of financial assistance.

The schedule of the distribution per district can be found in the city government's official Facebook pages.

Manila Mayor Francisco "Isko Moreno" said the city government chose to follow the list from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) for the beneficiaries of the Social Amelioration Program under the Bayanihan Act 1 and additional beneficiaries of emergency subsidy under Section 4f(3) of Bayanihan Act 2.

Domagoso also said that the financial assistance will be distributed per family because it is difficult to find each individual from the data of DSWD.

"Ang ginawa po natin ay per family dahil mahirap pong hanapin 'yong 1,500,000 na populasyon at walang data ang national government non at doon sa 1,500,000 sino dun ang mahirap, sino dun ang low-income, sino dun ang mayaman wala rin po nag bigay sa amin nun (What we did was per family because it is difficult to find the 1,500,000 population and the national government has no data on those 1,500,000 who are poor, who are low-income, and who are rich, no one gave us anything)," he said.

For transparency, the city government also published the list of beneficiaries of the emergency financial assistance per barangay.

As of Tuesday night (April 6), a total of 10,427 family beneficiaries from Barangay 20, Parola, Tondo had already received P4,000 for each family.

The national government distributed the cash aid for families in Metro Manila and adjacent provinces under the National Capital Region (NCR) Plus affected by the implementation of the ECQ.
