ABUSED! Kyline Alcantara reveals #MeToo moment

Actress-singer Kyline Alcantara got candid in a recent online interview, revealing how she was abused by a director as a showbiz newbie.

In a recent zoom interview Kyline shared how, as an 8-year-old wannabe, she was scolded and embarrassed in front of many people by a director whom sadly she is too scared to name.

She related, "Napagalitan ako at na-discriminate ako.

"Sabi sa akin ng director, 'Talent ka lang. Diyan ka lang. Taga-Bicol ka pa. Ang pangit ng accent mo! Ayus-ayusin mo!"

The abuse didn't end there.

Apparently, the director thought it cute to lecture her mom as well.

"Pinapunta si Mama sa set. 'Magsalita ka!' Tas pinagsalita si Mama ko. Tapos, yung feeling na napahiya ka dun sa set. Yung feeling na hindi lang ikaw pati yung nanay mo napahiya sa set. Ayoko na magkaroon ng ganung feeling."

The same director also forced her to cry attempting to pinch her.

Supposedly, the director told her: "Hindi ka iiyak? Hindi ka iiyak? Kukurutin kita."

"Like, to the point na kinukurot niya ako. Ganung levels siya. Naranasan ko yung ganon," Kyline added.

Of course, Kyline isn't the first celebrity to reveal abuse.

Other stars have come out in the past to share being cursed, screamed at, embarrassed, discriminated, even being raped, seemingly echoing the #MeToo movement that swept Hollywood prior.

Sadly though, until today, no one has been punished for it.
