The selling of tickets for all of its games remain suspended in areas under the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ), the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) said.
PCSO, in an announcement posted on its Facebook page on April 4, said that lotto and other digit games - including the conduct of Small Town Lottery (STL) - will remain suspended from April 5 to 11, 2021.
This, PCSO said, is pursuant to the pronouncement by the Office of the President, placing Metro Manila, Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, and Rizal under extended ECQ. Thus, “selling of tickets of all PCSO games including the conduct of Small Town Lottery draws in the said areas shall remain suspended.”
Meanwhile, PCSO advised the public to watch PTV4 every 9 p.m. for the live broadcast of lotto and digit games. “Likewise, actual draws shall be live streamed through PCSO official social media accounts,” it added.
PCSO also reminded that gaming operations in “other areas shall follow the respective LGU quarantine or localized lockdown guidelines.”
On March 28, PCSO suspended lotto and other digit games - which covers the selling and conduct of draws - from March 29 to March 31 “pending approval” of its request to conduct draws at the PCSO Main Office located in Mandaluyong City.
However, PCSO announced on March 30 that lotto and other digit games operations will resume in areas where the ECQ is not enforced.
Amid the surge in coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases in the country, PCSO encouraged the public to “stay home and stay safe.”
