The government on Saturday, April 3, placed the National Capital Region and the nearby provinces of Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, and Rizal under ECQ from April 5 to 11.

At least 15 quality control points in all entry and exit points of Metro Manila, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, and Bulacan will remain in effect.

The Provincial Public Health Office said it will also continue the monitoring of the confirmed cases, recoveries, and deaths in the province through the Provincial Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit (PESU) database.

As of April 4, Bulacan has recorded a total of 19,445 confirmed cases. Of this total number, 15,211 have recovered, while 518 died due to the disease.
