Thirdy Ravena and the San-En NeoPhoenix continued their slide in Japan’s B.League after suffering an 87-77 home loss to the Kawasaki Brave Warriors Sunday, April 4 in the conclusion of their two-game weekend series.

Ravena had six points on 2-of-7 shooting with four rebounds and three assists in 27 minutes but the NeoPhoenix couldn’t prevent the Brave Warriors from sweeping their series held at the Toyohashi City Gymnasium.

San-En put up a better fight than the previous game where it lost 103-74, pulling to within seven halfway in the fourth quarter.

But the Brave Warriors, led by former PBA import Nick Fazekas, were able to thwart the NeoPhoenix rally to seal another road victory.

The NeoPhoenix fell to 11-40 with nine games left in the season with its sixth straight loss.

The last three losses came since Ravena returned after missing 22 games due to a fractured right finger.

Ravena is averaging 7.0 points on 29-percent shooting with 3.0 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.0 steals since his comeback.

San-En once again wore blue jerseys that paid homage to Ravena’s ties with Ateneo and Gilas Pilipinas as part of San-En’s “Empower Asia” promotion for the two games against Kawasaki.
