Its main office in Quezon City and all branches in the National Capital Region, Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, and Rizal have all suspended their walk-in transactions.

SSS branches in the said areas will be open from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. to accept transactions through its no-contact drop box system for transactions not available online.

Meanwhile, in observance of Lent, SSS branches nationwide will be closed on Maundy Thursday, April 1 and Good Friday, April 2.

The state-run pension fund urged the transacting public to use its online service channels such as My.SSS Portal, SSS Mobile App, and Text-SSS at 2600.

The temporary restriction imposed by the SSS for walk-in transactions and other measures aim to minimize the risk of exposure of the transacting public and employees to the coronavirus disease as the country's virus cases continue to rise.
