PCSO to continue gaming operations outside NCR+

Lotto and digits games operations in areas outside the National Capital Region (NCR)-plus will resume, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) on Tuesday, March 30, announced.

In an announcement posted on its official Facebook page, said that “pursuant to the approval by the Office of the President,” PCSO said it was allowed to continue its gaming operations outside of the NCR-plus areas.

“We would like to inform the public that lotto and digit games operations shall resume on March 30, 2021 for areas outside of Metro Manila, Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, and Rizal,” PCSO said.

Related to this, PCSO added that “catch-up draws shall be conducted and the result shall be posted in our website and official FB Page.”

PCSO also clarified that “selling of tickets in all lotto terminals except in ECQ declared areas is ongoing.”

Meanwhile, PCSO noted that “Small Town Lottery (STL) operations in ECQ areas remain suspended until April 4, 2021.”

PSCO reminded that all of its gaming operations “shall be suspended nationwide” from April 1 to 4, 2021 in observance of the Lenten Season except for the STL in areas with “approved requests to conduct selling and draw activities.”

The public and all others concerned are encouraged to visit the official website and social media accounts of PCSO for guidance.

On March 28, PCSO announced that it has temporarily suspended lotto and other digit games operations - which covers the selling and conduct of draws - from March 29 to 31 “pending approval” of its request to conduct draws at the PCSO Main Office located in Mandaluyong City.

The PCSO Special Bids and Awards Committee (SBAC) also announced that the “deadline of submission, receipt, and opening of bids” SBAC Contract No. 2021-01 regarding “Five years Lease of the customized Philippines Charity Sweepstakes Office Lottery System also known as “2021 PLS project” has been postponed until further notice.
