The bishop said examining one’s conscience is important in amending wrongdoings and living a life that is anchored on the teachings of the Lord.

“Through the Sacrament of Confession, we receive pardon for our sins, vow to correct the wrong that we have done and feel the love of God,” Florencio said.

“As we observe the Holy Week, let us examine our conscience. Let us contemplate on the kind of lives that we live. What can we improve on? What must we give up? Examining one’s conscience will lead us to confession to receive God’s forgiveness and God’s love,” the Church leader said over Radio Veritas.

The Military Ordinariate of the Philippines oversees the spiritual needs of the members of the Philippine National Police (PNP), Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Bureau of Jail Management & Penology (BJMP), and the Veterans Memorial Medical Center (VMMC).

Meanwhile, some religious groups will hold the second day of the well-preserved religious tradition of the pabasa online today. The observance of the three-day “pabasa,” the marathon chanting of the passion, death, and resurrection of Jesus lifted from the pages of the Holy Bible, which started yesterday, Holy Monday, is being held online via zoom.

The faithful are also encouraged to join the holy masses online. Today’s mass readings and reflections will focus on Judas Iscariot’s betrayal of Jesus in exchange for thirty pieces of silver coins and of Saint Peter’s denial of Jesus.
