Sec. Mark celebrates Digong's birthday with awesome 'sandwich'

How about a "sandwich" to celebrate President Duterte's 76th birthday? A Villar sandwich, that is.

Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Sec. Mark Villar posted a picture of this sandwich in his Facebook wall Sunday afternoon, March 28 to go with a greeting for the chief executive.

"Happy Birthday, President Rodrigo Duterte! ??????," Villar said in the post, which garnered over 26,000 "likes" and over 11,000 "hearts" in just two hours.

The particular photo showed the DPWH chief and his father, business magnate and former Senate President Manny Villar, "sandwiching" a smiling Duterte in the middle. It's quite a distinguished trio, to say the least.

The photo was taken aboard an airplane, presumably before the emergence of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) since there were neither face masks nor was physical distancing observed.

Sec. Villar is arguably one of President Duterte's favorites in the Cabinet, as he recently hailed him for being a top performer along with Transportation Sec. Arthur Tugade and Labor Sec. Silvestre Bello III.

The country’s "chief builder", Sec. Villar is the man that oversees the Duterte administration's flagship infrastructure modernization program dubbed "Build, Build, Build".
