Chinese General Hospital and Medical Center's COVID-19 ward, ICU reach full capacity


The COVID-19 emergency room, ward, and intensive care unit (ICU) of the Chinese General Hospital and Medical Center (CGHMC) in Sta. Cruz, Manila reached full capacity on Monday (March 22).

In a public notice posted on Facebook, the CGHMC management said the hospital can only accept non-COVID-19 in-patient and out-patient starting March 22.

"Please bear with us as we continue to serve your medical needs. We shall keep you informed of further developments as we remain committed to being your partner in surviving this pandemic," the notice read.

Several private and government hospitals in Metro Manila have also hit full capacity after a surge in COVID-19 infections.

As of Monday, the number of active COVID-19 cases in Manila reached 2,933.
