Louie Sangalang and Lara Pearl Alvarez (ONE Championship)

Filipino bets Lara Pearl Alvarez and Louie Sangalang made the most out of their Singapore experience when they competed in ONE Championship's edition of "The Apprentice."

In a recent media availability, Alvarez said the overall experience is something that has become part of her life since coming back to the Philippines while Sangalang was able to push himself to the limit while taking on both physical and business challenges.

"The experience itself is really something that I can take away with me," said Alvarez, who traveled abroad for the first time. "And when I'm here in the Philippines, everything, all of the lessons as we've mentioned a while back became a part of who I am.

Alvarez, who used to train with famed Benguet stable Team Lakay, added that she had a bigger perspective in life after the "lifechanging" experience with "The Apprentice."

Sangalang, the first Filipino cancer survivor to conquer the North Pole marathon last April 2018, for his part, is grateful having met individuals who had shared the same goals as far as the reality competition is concerned.

"I don't like to have really deep personal relations when I work because that kind of gets in the way but I think in this particular experience, it cannot be helped," added the former URCC featherweight titleholder.

"Because you're all in one facility and you see each every single day but y'know, in spite of that initial personal challenge, I'm very fortunate that I got to meet, a lot of talented individuals -- driven, committed, and very loveable people."

The Apprentice premiered in Asia on March 18 while local telecast partner TV5 has aired the first episode on Saturday, March 20.

One Sports will follow suit on Monday, March 22.
