A Mass booklet was released by the Vatican to mark the 500 years of Christianity in the Philippines and will be used for the Papal Mass on Sunday, March 14.
This was announced by the Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) News said on Saturday, March 13.
"Published by the Office of the Liturgical Celebrations of the Supreme Pontiff, the booklet contains texts and songs in Italian, English, Filipino, Cebuano and Latin," the CBCP said.
Pope Francis is expected to lead a Mass at St. Peter’s Basilica in Vatican on Sunday, at 10 a.m. (5 p.m. local time) to celebrate the 500 years of Catholic faith in the Philippines.

The Papal Mass will also be attended by Cardinal Luis Antonio Tagle, prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples; and Cardinal Angelo De Donatis, the pope’s Vicar for Rome, the CBCP news said.
Manila Archdiocese Apostolic administrator Bishop Broderick Pabillo said that the celebration of 500 years of Christianity in the Philippines is a “a call to mission.”
“The quinquennial event is not just a looking back to the past. It is also looking forward to the future. Yes, we have been chosen and truly gifted with the faith,” Pabillo told CBCP news.
“This carries a great responsibility. We gratefully accept the gift, we develop it, and now it is our turn to pass it on to the others,” he added.
