School reviews, ratings introduced to enhance students’ school search experience

To allow currently enrolled students and alumni to review and rate their campus experience, EdTech platform Edukasyon.ph introduces a new feature that would help them make informed decisions.

Edukasyon.ph, the largest education technology platform in the Philippines, announced the launch of “ReviewED” - a new feature where the user has the option to add or view reviews appears on the profile pages of 13,000+ education institutions, including colleges, universities, graduate schools and technical-vocational centers listed in the Edukasyon.ph school search database.

“Our aim has always been to help students across the country better evaluate colleges and universities before they make the tough decision on where to apply or enroll,” Edukasyon.ph Chief Executive Officer Grace David said in a statement issued Friday, March 12.

“By adding the review option on Edukasyon.ph school profiles, students can access insightful feedback for students, by students,” she added.

Over 3,500 school reviews have been added to Edukasyon.ph, with University of the Philippines Los Baños, Polytechnic University of the Philippines and University of Santo Tomas being the most reviewed schools - to date.

The reviews gather feedback on why they chose the school or why they would recommend it, with ratings on the overall experience and qualities including academics, athletics, diversity, housing, return on investment, safety and student life.

Other additional plans for ReviewEd include verified reviews, course reviews and the option to reply to reviews, building open conversations that promote informed decision-making.

David said that ReviewEd content is all generated by registered users of the platform. “With this, we hope to ensure each student in our community gets a glimpse of what life is really like at their prospective school,” she added.
