Like a mantra, authorities have repeated these three basic protocols as the most effective way to protect the people from the coronavirus disease (COVID-19). And there is no better time to repeat these as the country, particularly Metro Manila, experiences a surge in infections.

Concern over this sudden increase in coronavirus infections continues to be at the top of our list of stories this Wednesday afternoon, March 10, 2021.

Infectious disease experts calls on public to observe physical distancing, other health measures amid spike in COVID-19 cases

  • Presidential spokesman Harry Roque, local government units have the authority to impose localized lockdown in a specific place where there is a reported spike in COVID-19 transmission.
