Presidential spokesman Harry Roque announced in his Monday presser that a cumulative total of 29,266 individuals have been vaccinated against COVID-19 as of March 7 in 186 operating vaccination sites across the country.

On March 7 alone, 4,128 individuals received their first dose of the vaccine.

A total of 383,980 vaccines have been deployed to the different regions; 329,480 were CoronaVac vaccines while 54,500 were AstraZeneca shots.

Roque said that the government has finished the deployment of the first batch of CoronaVac vaccines.

The government kicked off its vaccination program on March 1, placing a high priority on healthcare workers and senior citizens.

However, Roque said in his press briefing that the vaccines may go to the economic frontliners--or those who continued to work during the enhanced community quarantine--if the vaccines will not be suitable for senior citizens.

The government's vaccination program started with some glitches after some government officials were vaccinated even though the priority of the government are the medical frontliners.

On Sunday, Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles assured the public that the government will stick with the priority list determined by the National Immunization Technical Advisory Group (NITAG).

The government is carrying on its vaccination program with 600,000 CoronaVac vaccines donated by the Chinese government and 525,600 AstraZeneca doses from the COVAX Facility.
