Pasay lifts localized lockdown in 20 barangays


The local government of Pasay has lifted the localized community quarantine in 20 barangays in the city on March 6.

Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano said barangays 118; 28,32, 40,57,58,81, 95, 98,100,107,122,132,143,155,156,175,178,190 and 192 already finished their 14-day quarantine on March 5.

Among the 57 remaining barangays under lockdown, only Barangay 183 is still under total lockdown with 32 cases recorded.

Pasay City earlier placed 77 barangays under localized lockdown due to a surge of COVID-19 cases in their areas.

Rubiano meanwhile said the city government has been testing more than 300 individuals per day.

Residents were also encouraged to always follow the EMI Habit – Ensure to always wash your hands. Mask is a must and Implement physical distancing.

On March 5, Pasay recorded 82 new active cases, bringing the city's total tally to 483.
