Dr. Cesar Tutaan, Dr. Catherine Quiroz, and nurse Arnold Bondoc were among the 64 other health workers of the Mandaluyong City Medical Center (MCMC) who were inoculated with Sinovac’s CoronaVac on the first day of the city’s inoculation drive.

MCMC received 300 jabs of Sinovac’s vaccines on March 5.

Present in the launch of the city’s vaccination program were Mandaluyong City Mayor Menchie Abalos, MMDA Chairman Benhur Abalos, DOH Assistant Regional Director Dr. Maria Paz Corrales, Vice Mayor Anthony Suva, Councilor Benjie Abalos, MCMC Director Dr. Zaldy Zarpeso, and City Health Officer Doc Alex Sta. “Mahalagang bagay ito sa ating mga frontliners bilang proteksyon at mabawasan ang pagkalat ng virus (It is an important thing for our frontliners because it will serve as their protection and it will lessen the spread of the virus),” Mayor Abalos said.

The mayor also urged her constituents to register for vaccination through MANDAVAX.
