Kris Aquino has appealed to netizens to stop bashing her brother, former President Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III, saying he's now a private citizen.

Aquino made the appeal on Instagram March 5 after netizens started to discuss politics in one of her posts.

She told netizens to let history judge her brother PNoy for his legacy as president.

Aquino admitted that it's difficult to practice self-control but she's trying her best.

Her full post:

"Pwedeng makiusap? if you will notice i try my very best to avoid political discussions and kaya nga nag try to lighten the situation earlier BECAUSE for my family to remain peaceful in my feed i should refrain from mentioning Kuya Josh’s favorite uncle.

"He is now a private citizen and history shall be the best judge for his legacy... simple rule - wag kaming magsalita kagaya ng paninirang sinubukang gawin sa min, wag patulan = walang gulo.

Josh Aquino, eldest son of Kris, is now staying with her brother Noynoy in Tarlac.
